Contest sponsored by Strands Labs, Inc., 760 SW Madison Ave., Ste. 106, Corvallis OR 97333 (”Strands”). Enter the contest by inviting your friends to register for free on Strands. You get one point for each friend that becomes a registered user of Strands.
Names and email addresses are collected for the purpose of notifying contest winners. See the Strands privacy policy [http://www.strands.com/privacy] for further details. Ten (10) winners will be chosen as follows: five (5) entrants will win based on having the highest number of friends registered from their invites, and five (5) new users will be chosen by the five winners. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries. A list of winners will be posted at http://community.strands.com. A total of ten (10) prizes will be awarded consisting of two (2) First Prizes, 1.6 GHz Apple MacBook Air computers valued at $1799 each, two (2) Second Prizes, 8 GB Apple Ipod Touch music players valued at $199 each, and six (6) Third Prizes, Flip Ultra video cameras valued at $149.99 each. The total value of the prizes is $4,890. The First Prizes will be awarded, one to the eligible user with the highest number of friends registered through the Strands.com registration process from their invites, and the other to the new registrant of his/her choice. The Second Prizes will be awarded one to the eligible user with the second-highest number of friends registered from their invites, and and the other to the new registrant of his/her choice. The Third Prizes will be awarded in the same way to the eligible users with the third-, fourth-, and fifth-highest numbers of friends registered from their invites and to the new registrants of their choice.
Contest begins at 00:00 PST (midnight, Pacific Time) October 1, 2008 and ends at 23:59 PST October 31, 2008. To be eligible, registrations must be made during the contest. Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and agree to allow their name and likeness to be used for promotional purposes. All taxes including income taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Strands assumes no liability for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, cable, electronic, software, hardware, transmission, connection, Internet, accessibility or other access issue that might hinder the ability of any participant to enter the contest. Strands reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion if necessary for technical reasons including computer viruses, bugs, tampering and other technical failures. Employees and principals of Strands are not eligible to enter. Strands will not be liable for typographical errors in these Rules or in other materials relating to the promotion.
